Michael Reinicke

Michael Reinicke was born in Dresden. During the eighties he has been artistically educated by Prof. Fritz Panndorf (HfBK Dresden) as well as by the painters Eberhard Bush von der Erde and Georg Sacher (1984-86). In addition to painting, M. Reinicke dealt with the study of the philosophy and behavioural sciences during the nineties.

His primarily figurative works, painted in oil on canvas, reflect this development enormously. M. Reinicke concentrates in his work on the tracks of a quickly moving, constantly around self-turning society. He shows person, deformed by the increasing centrifugal strength of the society in which their existence is necessary more or less. They are deformed and or losing their ways.

Besides, M.Reinickes pictures never leave the smallest possible platform of the single person in particular. One is facing a touchable contemplation, that shows the little that feeds the tallness. With his pictures M. Reinicke complicates ignorance and victory pride. His pictures claim one aim above all: They want to detain to the recovery of the individual.

Today M-Reinicke lives and works on the outskirts of Berlin.
His predominantly figurative works are meanwhile represented in different private collections, in Europe as well as overseas.
